Over 6 months have passed since the deployment of the ATP Platform, and the ATP Points program still has not launched. Furthermore there is no clarity on whether current and historical ATP Agent token holders are earning any ATP points.
I propose that the BrainDAO soft/pre launch ATP points using Merkl’s point distribution campaigns for Graduated Agent Token Holders.
After the IQ Team gets around to launching the ATP program, they can use ATP points tokens distributed via Merkl as part of the initial base of ATP token holders.
By pre-launchinf ATP points via Merkl, the BrainDAO can transparently show that ATP points are being tracked and rewarded for holding ATP Agent tokens. Additionally, by pre-deploying ATP points via Merkl, this will give the ATP platform a big boost in marketing/publicity due to ATP points campaigns showing up on Merkls campaign rewards list, which recieves a very large number of regular views from yield farmers who we would love to attract into the ATP.
Merkl charges something around $120 per month per points campaign. The cost of deploying 5 ATP points campaigns would be around $600 per month, a negligible cost. This amount can most likely be negotiated down to $300 per month.
The same ATP points token used for the Merkl Distribution Campaigns can also be used later by the IQ team after the full ATP program launches.
I suggest that we ask Merkl to price ATP points at $0.0001 each (pricing is just an estimate used by Merkl to calculate APR, its not binding and ATP points are not exchangeable), and that the BrainDAO start with distributing 100 million ATP points per month, distributed to holders of each Graduated Agents token perportionate to the market cap of each token, with all smart contracts blacklisted from receiving ATP points.
If this proposal passes, the IQ team is tasked with pre-deploying ATP points with the above specifications within 45 days.
